We are pleased to announce that our flu vaccination clinics are now live and open for bookings.
Many people believe they are helping to ease the burden on the surgery by having their vaccination done elsewhere, but seasonal vaccinations generate valuable income for practices on which we rely to support our clinical services.
Patient safety and convenience are important to us which is why we are now offering flu vaccination clinics on weekdays, including early morning and evenings as well as our Saturday morning surgeries. Our large, clean and well equipped surgery allows us to safely operate a one way system ensuring social distancing is adhered to at all times.
We ask that patients coming to the surgery wear a face mask, arrive vaccination ready (ie wearing a short sleeve top so that the arm is easily accessible) and all of our staff will be wearing PPE.
Our clinics will start for the over 65 age group from 16th September onwards and for the under 65s from 22nd September.
Child flu vaccinations for children aged between 2 and 3 on 31 August 2020 will also be offered in these clinics. (f your child is outside of this age group and not in an at risk category they will be vaccinated at school).
Pregnant women and people over 6 months of age and under 65 years of age with clinical conditions which make them “at risk” are also eligible. To check your eligibility for a free flu vaccination at your GP Surgery? Please see
We will not be able to send letters to patients inviting them to book an appointment.
The flu vaccination programme will be extended for 2020 to include those aged 50-64 (who do not already fall into an at risk category). We are awaiting further guidance from NHS England on this and it is anticipated that these vaccinations will be offered from November onwards. Please note we CANNOT vaccinate anyone in this cohort until we receive this further guidance.
