Covid Vaccination Update 12.4.2021
2nd Doses – We have now started working on 2nd doses vaccinations – Please try not to phone for vaccine queries about when you will be called for second doses. Patients who need to get through with urgent health issues are having to wait longer than usual to get through to our reception. Please email any query to email@example.com. We will contact you as soon as we have confirmed delivery dates and our clinics are set up. If possible please provide us with a mobile telephone number and you will be sent a link to book your appointment.
Household Contacts of Immunocompromised Patients – If you are Immunocompromised please email the name of any member of your immediate household who wishes to have a vaccination and has not already done so to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then confirm that your medical record reflects you are immunocompromised and add an eligibility code to the record of the people you have identified. When we receive our next delivery of “first dose” vaccine we will arrange for these people to have an appointment.
People Aged 45 – 49 – Apparently NHS England have contacted this group of patients today inviting them to book an appointment for their Covid Vaccine. Please note that if you are in this age group you should make an appointment as a mass vaccination centre as we have no “first doses” at the moment and are not currently able to offer you an appointment at The Somer Centre.
Business As Usual – We are still open for urgent health concerns so please do contact us if you need us for anything- covid or not- please be aware due to staffing the vaccination centers/ staff sickness and shielding staff we are not fully staffed so please bear with us! At the moment we are continuing to operate a Dr First policy whereby a Dr or Nurse will call you regarding your problem and assess whether you need to be seen face to face but we are monitoring and reviewing this system over the forthcoming weeks.
