Face to Face Appointments

We are hearing from our patients that we don’t offer Face to Face appointments anymore.  We would like to dispel this myth.

We do offer either phone call or face to face appointments daily both for urgent same day emergency appointments and also for our routine pre bookable appointments.

Our Practice Nurses continue to see patients Face to Face as does our Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapist, Assitant Practitoner, Care Co-ordinator, Social Prescriber and  Phlebotomist.

We are finding that lots of patients do prefer telephone calls and we will continue to offer these where they are suitable but please note that if you are requesting a telephone appointment it still may be that you will need to be seen and so you should be available to attend the surgery.  We have had experience of patients wanting telephone consultations whilst they are at work or even away on holiday.

If the waiting room is quiet please don’t think that we are not busy.  We do stagger the appointment times for face to face appointments to ensure that we don’t have too many people in our waiting room.

Last week (w/c 28.2.2022) we saw 65% of contacts as F2F appointments, the remainder being video consults or telephone appointments.

Please be assured that we are doing our best to accommodate all of our patients’ needs and requirements.
