Elm Hayes Surgery is dedicated to supporting all patients and understands that to do this we need to adapt how we work with our patients to improve their outcomes.
What we can do for you:
The surgery was purposely designed to ensure accessibility for all patients in a modern healthcare setting
We have a hearing loop available at reception
We are able to provide interpreters for appointments via Language Line
We have disabled parking bays available
We can provide you with a manual wheelchair if needed
We have appointed named ASD Champions in practice
We can book appointments at quieter times for you to improve your waiting room experience
We can offer where possible a quiet waiting area or we can arrange for you to wait outside/in a vehicle and arrange for a phone call to tell you when to come in for your appointment
We can provide easy read leaflets to help you to understand your condition or problem
We can add a note to your records about your preferences and carer details and we will do our best to meet reasonable patient adjustments
All staff will receive ASD Friendly Practice training on induction in addition to the mandatory Oliver McGowan training

All referral letters to secondary care or other providers will contain details of any reasonable adjustments required
