We offer weekend and evening appointments at the surgery and at other local surgeries. The service is ran by BEMS (BANES enhanced medical services). These can be GP or nurse appointments. Speak to the reception staff to arrange an appointment.

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Pharmacists can also give advice on many common illnesses and allergies.

Paulton minor injuries unit

The MIU team comprises highly trained emergency nurse practitioners, paramedics, nurses, and associate practitioners, all with experienced clinical and diagnostic skills. When you arrive, you will be triaged and assessed by one of our team. Following a thorough assessment, a suitable treatment plan will be discussed with you. You may need to be referred to another provider, such as the Emergency Department, or a GP.

Paulton Minor Injuries Unit – Bath and North East Somerset – Community Health and Care Services (bathneshealthandcare.nhs.uk)

The minor injuries unit treats:

  • Sprains and strains
  • Cuts and grazes
  • Arm, lower leg and foot injuries
  • Bites – human, animal
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Minor head injuries
  • Broken noses and nosebleeds
  • Eye problems such as scratches, foreign bodies in the eyes

We are unable to treat the following:

  • Abdominal pain
  • Alcohol-related problems
  • Breathing problems
  • Chest pain
  • Drug overdose
  • Health conditions usually treated by a GP
  • Mental health problems

MIU is open 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm.

Last entry for patients is 7pm.
