Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work within the nurse team as a phlebotomist. You will ensure the provision of an effective patient-focused service.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, patient-focused and highly motivated individual to work within our innovative and supportive organisation alongside GPs, Nurses, First Contact Physiotherapists, Social Prescribers and Pharmacists as part of our multi-disciplinary team.

Job responsibilities

Interested? To be considered for this role, you will need:

Experience of working within healthcare is preferred.  Phlebotomy experience would be essential and you should be a qualified Phlebotomist.

To be confident with using IT and computer systems.

To be motivated by helping people, and be caring and empathetic

Job description JD Phlebotomy role March 2021

Flexibility in working hours. You will have a minimum of 14 hours per week, However, you will be required to cover holiday or sickness if required.

You will work a minimum of;

14 hours per week

Rotas will be available at least 3 weeks in advance.

Your working days would be as follows;

8:30 – 12:30 (Monday)

8:30 – 12:30 (Wednesday)

8:30 – 14:30 (Friday)

The rate of pay is £8.91 per hour.

28 days holiday pro rata (including bank holidays). Uniform provided. You will be entitled to join the NHS pension scheme.

About us

Elm Hayes Surgery have around 9078 patients. We have a small nursing team consisting of two practice nurses a Health care assistant and a Nurse Practitioner.

You will be a permanent member of the nursing team.
